Worship Services

One Table Service is the only service held the first Sunday of each month, allowing our entire congregation to worship and take communion together at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

There are two services, 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., offered the remaining Sundays of the month.

Christian Education is offered for all ages every Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

8:45 a.m. NewSong Service

The 8:45 a.m.  service is  held in the Chapel.  New Song  is a contemporary service with upbeat music provided by our band.  Often, mission projects  are planned. These have included cleaning neighborhood parks, assisting at the domestic violence shelter, serving at Good Samaritan Inn  and doing yard work at Kemmerer Village, a Presbyterian children's home.

11:00 a.m. Sanctuary Service

This service uses some elements of contemporary services with the more traditional responsive readings and hymns. The Sanctuary choir participates in this service, along with occasional other musicians.

6:30 p.m. Taizé Service

First Wednesdays Sept. - May

The Community of Taizé is an ecumenical, monastic community founded in France in 1940 by a Swiss Reformed seminary student named Roger Schutz.  The community seeks reconciliation in the Christian church and wherever God's wholeness and peace are needed.  Most of the 100 Brothers live together in a small village (Taizé) in the Burgundy area of France.

The Taizé service is held on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm from September through May.  This prayer service  in the chapel offers a taste of the character of the contemplative prayer services at the Community of Taizé.  As at Taizé, the music has been chosen to help us enter into a time of silence and in song.  The meditative songs offer short, repeated expressions of prayer, which may become our own prayers as we hear them, gradually come to learn them, and begin to join in singing them.  You are invited to listen to the musicians repeating the songs while you settle into a sense of comfort in singing them yourself.  Let the words and music slowly and gently fill you, drawing you to turn your attention to God in song and silent prayers.
