Parish Visitors

A Compassionate Community Support System

First Presbyterian Parish Visitor Ministry

Absent, but not forgotten; this Christ led mission focuses on maintaining relationships in and outside the walls of the church.

Parish visitors listen, support, and encourage those with specific needs as identified by deacons, ministers, friends or family; calling on those confined to homes, hospitals, in assisted living or rehabilitation centers.

Close communication between the pastoral team, office manager, prayer chain & shawl ministries, deacons and parish visitors are essential.

Sending cards, phone calls, and home visits are made to the church member, a reminder that the church is there in their hour of need. Building relationships and being mindful of confidentiality is a key factor in the success of this ministry.

To learn how you can bring a smile to someone’s day, we invite you to join our monthly meeting held on the first Monday of each month at 10:30 a.m. in the church gathering room.
