First, choose a service
The first Sunday of each month is a One Table Service in the Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. All are invited to gather together in worship and communion during this service following the Christian Education hour.
There are two services offered the remaining Sundays of the month.
8:45 a.m. NewSong Service- a contemporary service in the Chapel or 11:00 a.m.-a blended service in the Sanctuary. The dress for the New Song .service is casual. You would see a wide variety from casual to dresses and suits in the Sanctuary service.
1) on the street, 2) in the south lot on the corner of Church and Prairie or 3) north of the church in the additional parking lot between Prairie and William Streets.
Third, come in one of our many doors.
The main door is on the corner of Church and Prairie which will lead you straight to the Sanctuary or down the hall to the Chapel beside the Gathering Room. You may come in the ramp door to the Sanctuary or the Church Street door to the main hallway. An elevator is on the west end near the parking lot. Parking lot/office doors take you down to the children’s area or up to the main hallway. Watch for our greeters who will answer any questions you may have.
Fourth, look for appropriate rooms.
If you bring children,: The nursery for ages 6 weeks-5 years is on the second floor by the Dining Room. Children’s Sunday School classes and the Youth area are on the lower level (down the stairs by the parking lot/ office doors). Adult classes are either in the Adult Classroom on the lower level or in the Dining Room on the second floor. Look for hallway signs to guide you through the building.
What happens when I get there?
You will be greeted by Greeters near the doorways and then by an Usher who will hand you a bulletin that guides everyone through the order of worship. Services begin with Gathering music and a Call to Worship to help us get centered. You may hear an organ (in the Sanctuary), piano, guitar, hand bells, flutes, trumpets, soloists or a choir- depending on the service or the season. (or several of these depending on the Pastor’s and Music Staff’s creativity that week) We appreciate many types of music at First Pres.
PLEASE come to the Gathering Room for coffee and converstaion between services.
The Gathering Room is located on the main floor between the Sanctuary and Chapel. We have a welcome bag for you!
