Children and Youth Ministry

Church School for elementary age children meets in the lower level of the church.  Classes meet from 9:45 to 10:30 each Sunday morning.

During Church School, the children have the opportunity to hear a Bible story, do an activity, and socialize with church friends. DVD Bible story lessons and music enhance each week’s lesson.  Church school teachers are volunteers from the church who are committed to helping the children grow in God’s love.

The nursery and child care rooms are located on the second floor for ages 6 weeks to 10 years, and are open from 8:30-12:15 each Sunday. Our qualified staff is there to lovingly care for your children while you are in worship. This service is offered year round and free of charge.

If you have any desire to teach or assist in any class, we have the materials and would be happy to support and guide you in this important ministry.  Contact the church office for more information.

The First Pres Children and Youth Ministry will be planning Family Social Events, Community Mission Projects and Education Opportunities. Check the website and Tower Notes for future opportunities.

The focus on supporting families wherever they are remains the best way to share our Christian faith in service and a window of opportunity to meet the young families of First Pres.

We believe the church is a supportive, resourceful and encouraging place to feel connected to others seeking God’s message for them. We can all agree that our children are the future of the church, community, and world and what better way to make an impact than to plant seeds that take root in the next generation. The classrooms are ready for children as young as 6 weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns about anything you see in the Children's Ministry information, please contact the church office.

To come!

The goals for the Children's Ministry program:
1. Learn God's love for each of us as an individual.
2. Sunday School is a fun and safe place to be.
3. There are adults who care about us and are invested in helping us grow in God's love.
Information about Camp Carew can be found at this link

We support our youth both in and outside the church walls, sharing in meaningful dialogue on current topics of faith, mission, justice, and peace to bring understanding of God's purpose in the world and our lives. Our focus is to understand and engage in worship, education, and service.
